Happy Friday!
I thought I would kick off the weekend with some great statement necklaces to top off your weekend outfit! I've been obsessed lately with Anthropologie's selection of gorgeous statement pieces! Below are a few of my faves ;)

 The weather has been so nice lately, that we have been going out on scooter rides through the redwoods on weekends:) This is going to sound so cheese, but there's nothing like the wind blowing through your hair, while speeding down a winding road...even if its only a scooter and not a motorcycle...and I'm not the one driving it, my husband is;)...gotta keep it real!

A Night On The Town

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the late start this week, but here is a picture from Saturday night's event :) I love this asymmetrical gown by Kathy Hilton ( I felt like a mermaid in it!) I purchased it a few months ago from myhabit.com, although it might have sold out by now :/ I wish I had taken more pictures but the one below is the only one my hubby took of me. By the way, ladies, this dress is VERY long, and I should have gotten it hemmed, however, stubborn me decided to wear it with 4.5" heels instead ( and it was still a little long). Oh the things we do for fashion...;)

The embellished feather bracelet is from sendthetrend.com, beaded, silver clutch I've had since high school, believe it or not, Badgley Mischka heels (link below;)

The details on the bodice are so delicate and whimsical!

Its been a long week, and I don't know about you, but I'm pumped for the weekend! We have a fancy event to go to this Saturday, and I can't wait to post the beautiful dress I will be wearing!

In the meantime, this was my Thursday-lunch-with-the-girls outfit. I was going to try the look with my high-waisted Victoria's Secret denim, but sadly they were in the laundry :/

Denim With Flare!

My Latest Obsession :)

Maybe its in part because I'm a tall girl who has curves (namely by booty), and a small waist, but this style of denim always seems to flatter me more. Don't get me wrong, you can have a more boyish figure, and these will still bring out the curves and make you look amazing ;) 

These three lovely ladies below pull off the 70"s, flare leg denim perfectly, don't you think? Although, the trick is to update the look with more modern styling and accessories. I've found that to create this "long and lean" look, you need a high-heeled wedge ( unless you are naturally very tall to begin with;) I'm 5'9"...ok 5'8" and a half, as my husband likes to remind me, (love you anyways ;) and I will still buy the longest length (36 inches) available in flares, in order to have the pant hit at the right length with my high, high wedges ;)
