Take It Nice & SLO

Hi Everyone! This post is waaaayyy overdue! But now that the weather is turning chillier, I found myself reminiscing about a trip, not too long ago, to San Luis Obispo…affectionately called SLO :)

We returned back to our favorite little B&B called Petit Soleil. I love the European, cozy feel it emulates, with its cobblestone walkways, overgrown plants, and that little yellow bus. I hope you enjoy the "stroll" through this charming city as much as we did ;)
xo,
Magpie

Oh yes, we sure did start off our road trip with some good old In-N-Out Burger!

Petit Soleil Bed & Breakfast

The perfect French soundtrack to go with our  French room :)

Mmmmm! Warm french toast with fresh peaches, and homemade quiche!

I love my trees!

Found this old school coffee grinder an a local antique store :)

Succulents are awesome! Had to take a picture for inspirational purposes ;)

A little side street in downtown.

Denim Shirt: J.Crew Factory (here). Cropped Jeans: Gap (here). Belt: old. Bag: Zara (love this one as well). Watch: Jack Threads (here). Sunglasses: CVS believe it or not! For a pricier version, check this one  out by Ray Ban.  Flip Flops: Gap (old).

Look at these cute, little guys! They live in this amazing little store below.
Contessa S. Boutique. This store is magpie heaven!
Wanted to buy this but it was ridiculously expensive for just a t-shirt :/

Some sparkling pear cider to cool off from our morning walk :)

My mouth still waters when I look at this picture! I enjoyed these party-in-my-mouth, panfried chilaquiles at a lovely place called Luna Red

Scout Coffee Co.….I'm sure their coffee is great, but on a super hot day, we opted for  milk shakes instead ;)
Watch: Jack Threads. iPhone case: Athleta. Sunglasses: CVS.
His and Hers ;)

This homemade quiche and pancakes was just what we needed to fuel up for our hike!

I had no idea, at this point, of the long, hot, 2-hour hike ahead, lol!

These trees reminded me of a scene in Tomb Raider The Cradle of Life for some reason!

Isn't this view beautiful?!

Our goal!

The road...

Victory at the top of Bishop's Peak!

We ended our trip with the most delicious clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl and seafood topping at Splash Cafe. My tip would be to go to the one located on Monterey Street, right next to Petit Soleil, in order to avoid the long lines at the Pismo Beach location ;)
